Unexpected Support From My Hairdresser

I am very lucky to have a husband who calls himself my biggest fan. Since he believes in what I want to share with the wider community through my blog/website, he has spent countless hours editing my videos, formatting my website, researching ways to make my page more visible, etc. He has been my biggest technical support as well as my moral support during many moments that I wanted to give up, and I honestly believe that without his help I am not able to have the website I have today. I am so grateful.

When we are delving into our journey to make our ideas and dreams come alive, we often cannot do them on our own. We may be lacking certain skills and need practical/technical support. We may need guidance and alternative perspectives for how to move forward as we delve into the unknown. We may need care, empathy and encouragement to help pick us up when we fall.

I don’t have a big network of friends. That’s why despite my big support from my husband, I have needed to be vulnerable and reach out for help. A couple of months ago, I shared my hope for what I wish to do as well as my anxiety and worries to my hairdresser!

To my surprise, a few days later, she contacted me and said that she met someone who might be able to help me with a technical hump I had. This was completely unexpected.

Oftentimes, we keep what we want to express to the wider world to ourselves because we fear how we will be received. Believe me, I am not always received positively. However, I decided to tell myself that when others laugh at what I share, or when I don't hear back from people I reach out to, I don't actually lose anything. I am simply standing where I started.
